Sound familiar?
- The recipe and the bill of materials live in the foreman's head, not in the system.
- Times from the plant and from installation are collected on paper and entered later.
- Sales promises dates without seeing what is actually in the plant and in the warehouse.
- Actual costing arrives weeks later, or not at all.
01 — Functions
01
Production orders
The production order comes from the sales order or from planning. Materials, operations and dates sit on the order.
02
BOM and routing
Raw materials, additives, packaging and operations per product. Variants such as size, colour or strength are item variants, not copies.
03
Shop floor and project time
Shop-floor and project time is clocked or entered at a terminal, straight onto the production or project order. No paper slips.
04
Stock for plant and delivery
Raw material, semi-finished and finished goods, separated by location. Sales sees available quantity and the delivery date.
05
Lots and traceability
Lot and serial numbers from raw material to delivery. Needed for testing, the declaration of performance and complaints.
06
Installation as project
Where products are installed on site, such as precast or exhaust systems, the installation runs as a project with hours and materials in the same system.
07
Costing and actual costing
Expected cost from the bill of materials and the routing, actual cost from posted materials and time. Variances show on the order, not at year-end.
08
Purchasing, EDI and documents
Raw materials planned from demand. Anvaigo EDI Connect for orders and invoices with volume, Continia for incoming invoices and outgoing documents.
